damn it! The 22 yr old marker has hit 16 years of being 22. My illusion will cloud itself in 6 evenly. ...well, as another late update, I'm feeling good at where I'm at. My duties lie with succeeding perfectly with my academics, working, and trying to create activities for the Fall. I've joined many different groups which will only spread myself very thin. Some view this as a negative, but as I'm realizing how short attention span I really am, the more I realize how at home I feel with overload. And to those that would like to beg to differ, I work harder. I'm willing to sleep less in order to do more. We can't add more hours to 24, but I can subtract from what inhibits success. To some, this is sacrifice. To me, this is what we have to do if we want to do what we want to do. Interestingly in school, much of what we do is temporary. Breathing occurs. ...so, there is short term pain for long term gain, if pain is how one likes to view the journey. I'm loving it, as I did before. Life is grand.

Damn, Life is an Adventure!! I read my past entries and reflect. Today, I've embarked on a new awakening. For years I've had a controversial radio show, but I have never received as much resistance as I am today. The American culture has evolved and unfortunately it's conservative. Now I am anticipating censorship that I have been eagerly awaiting. The gist is, I have had a radio show on and off for 18 years. In '95 I chose the name "A tribute to marijuana and the 50's" where I played 50's music (rock and roll) and music that discusses the use of marijuana. The name evolved into "Peggy Sue and Mary Jane with wood" to add fun to the title but keep its same premise. I am back in school now and again, Peggy Sue and Mary Jane started up. I placed advertisements, like before, sporting the marijuana leaf. It has received a very cold welcome back. Now I have a co-host whom sees the program, like me, about exercising of rights. Our freedoms can not be taken for granted because we are losing them daily. America is not the freest nation in the world anymore. The radio show is now called "Stir the Pot, who would?" and is streamed live every Sunday from 7 - 10 p.m. Tomorrow's show might include a visit by the director of housing at Tech. He may demand I stop doing what I am doing. I'm curious how far his demand can go. We'll see. --- In other updates, I'm heavy into school and not working as much as I should. My education is hands-on and I am doing what I will be doing in the real world, which is very exciting. My choice to change careers was the right one. They say things happen for a reason. I am glad for my reasons. The success of school and the controversy of my actions motivates me to do more. A wish list now includes my want to start an ACLU chapter at Tech to begin to protect student rights. I am realizing our educational system has spent so much time and money on dumbing the American public that we need to re-educate ourselves to protect the little we have left...and maybe begin to fight for what we have lost already. These words are eluding towards a revolution but that term is too cliché and I don't want this to be seen as a fad or just pretty words on the screen. Speaking is my greatest weapon. Words cause more damage than a nuclear bomb. Knowledge is necessary armor to combat our subliminal oppressive government. ...always striving for more and never settling for nothing...

Random bits of words... Currently, I am only working and playing. Classes are on hold until the Fall, where I'm hoping to be able to be a full time student. Following up with my classes from Spring, I managed to pull out perfectly. My position at work has evolved to become simply a designer, in print and on the web. I'm in the midst of learning php to enhhance my web abilities. Speaking of that, I better get on it...

Well, the days are passing by really fast. My life is so diverse that I am finding it quite fascinating my constant experiences. Since my last entry, I have been living in Baltic, Michigan. I just completed my eighth week of classes. My high expectations have been paying off as my marks exceed 100% as of today. This coming week is spring break, but I will be working the entire time. I'm developing a website for the university for nontraditional students. It has been taking me a long time to develop but I am very proud of the content thus far. So that is about it for this delayed update.

Happy Halloween....skulls to all...
well, I'm looking at a career change. My mental rollercoaster continues. I've decided that helping people has had its price. I've paid. Now I'm moving on to other perspectives...BS Computer Network and System Administration... So this means moving back to Michigan and attending Michigan Tech. I'll start for Spring 2007, completing in Spring 2010. (it's weird writing that date)

This is definitely not a current journal. Ever been a fast moving summer. I've set out to do everything I planned on accomplishing. I, of course, didn't find time for everything, but I feel I've done a lot. I'm in the middle of trying to teach computer classes for the band, creating language documents for the WHO, maintaining a website for upcoming elections and my family website, as well as trying to figure out how to integrate the internet into my courses this upcoming fall semester.

As of June 26th, the internet has lead me to her. Integrating the net into my classes has been in my thoughts and only growing. I'm looking for someone to help me create a website for manitoulin, like pasty.com. ...more on that later...

As of June 3rd, I am living now. I just started some websites for my courses...

...a lot of work to go yet but a whole summer to breath. Beyond the bugs, life is grand here.

Time seems to have accelerated and it's been several months since my last edit. My job has turned to survival. There are only a few weeks left of school. I've been voluteering at the Fire Department (I'm on a training video). I've started many perenials for the school's flowerbeds. I'm organizing trees being brought in to protect the flowerbeds from direct sunlight (or trying to, time permitting). For the summer, I maybe working with some GPS/GIS, teaching physics summer school, landscaping two cemeteries (or trying to), taking some education classes, and hopefully some relaxation. For July 6th, I have intentions to watch SLAYER at Cobo Hall in Detroit. A slam/mosh pit resembles life in that you get bumped around and hit a little, but everyone around watches out for each other and helps you up if you fall down. We all need a helping hand every once and a while.

Finally in my own apartment. I do not anticipate having a phone for at least a year. If you need to contact me, the school's phone is 705/859-2870. My home address is 15-2 Thomas Lane, Wikwemikong, ON P0P 2J0. Email will always be the best means of contact. I've been walking down memory lane as I am just now getting out of boxes after a couple years. I've counted 30+ official addresses now, not including the 20 so times in the dorms (MTU and CSM). I've thrown together some photos from the past that I have recently received. My adventures continue...

It is the beginning of my fifth week teaching a Wasse Abin High School. I am teaching 11th grade math and Physics. I was suppose to teach Calculus but no one passed last year, so many of those students are repeating 11th grade math. It has been going really good. I am learning how different American and Canadian Educational Systems really are. It really is quite fascinating. I'm living in a beautiful place. Wikwemikong Unceded Indian Reserve is like a peninsula of Manitoulin Island.

As a band member here, I am eligible for one acre of land. I am obsessed with waterfront. The cool thing about Wiky being a peninsula off the island is that I can essentially choose any direction waterfront, but I am very partial towards westfacing. So I am planning on building a cordwood home on apart of the reserve called Rabbit Island. If you click on the map of the island, it is the Northern part of the reserve. Actually, it is where my mother grew up.

Before all this can happen, I have to start making money....time is all I have....along with my dreams....and I keep dreaming...

Since my last update, I ran away to Michigan for three weeks. My stay was unique. I stayed in over 12 different places, climbed the bridge twice in one night, and will forever think of Cat in Hat in a new light.

I now wait for school to start...

Great news! I just got a job as a math and science teacher at Wikwemikong Unceded Indian Reserve. I am still planning on teaching in Denver, Colorado from my home on Manitoulin Island, Ontario very soon.
